Detractors claim that Tulsi Gabbard's views on Syria are in direct conflict with the US intelligence agencies that she is nominated to oversee. The record says the opposite.
Sorry Aaron. Usually I'm with you all the way with your commentary. But I'd give Gabbard a pass for the time being. I think she's one of Trump's better choices for cabinet position. I suspect she won't last long as only the really really worste of Trump's ideologues have the stamina to remain 4 years.
Such a mess in the Middle East. Messy in Africa as well.
Kinda messy everywhere. Plenty of fodder to keep your mind spinning Aaron.
Sy Hersh disproved the Khan Shaykhoun so called "chemical attack." As for Douma, I was watching as a camera was on the children outside the hospital where the phony "White Knights" were hosing down crying children with cold water (you'd cry, too) and screaming, "chemicals!" A doctor from the hospital clearly said, "There's no chemicals here."
In an apparent attempt to unhinge Gabbard’s confirmation hearing, the Times smears Gabbard with a six-degrees-of-separation narrative involving Hezbollah, for not “adequately weighed implications of her foreign travels and associations”, and for being too “contrarian” in her foreign policy views. Rather than address the CYA narrative over placement on the watch list in 2024, the article swerves to describe a Congressional trip to the Syria and Lebanon in 2017 which apparently triggered nothing. The convoluted connection to terrorism was the result of an anonymous source claiming that a phone tap of a Hezbollah operative heard her name mentioned. I guess if a perceived enemy of the national security state mentions your name in an intercepted phone call, then clearly that indicates suspicious behavior on the part of the named person. I wonder if any of these intercepted calls ever mentioned Biden or Blinken.
In an article where “senior U.S. officials walked The New York Times through the chain of events surrounding the trip on the condition of anonymity” you get the impression the FBI wrote most of this elaborate CYA story. After this red herring diversion, the FBI presents their real phony excuse for their harassment. Gabbard was added to the watch list because she attended a meeting at the Vatican organized by an unnamed European who they claimed was on a watch list although “U.S. officials would not explain why the F.B.I. put him on the watch list or say whether he was still on it.” Buried at the end of the article is the FBI’s claim that this former Democratic Party Representative’s placement on the watch list had nothing to do with her public criticism of then presidential candidate Kamala Harris the day before she was added. Show’s over, nothing to see, move along.
Members of Congress may impress their donors but the petty screeds that sound more like H.S. locker room than an opportunity to probe w meaningful questions. Warren was shameful in Bobby Kennedy hearing.. spitting accusations she had to read but spiteful vibe of a jilted lover.. on the bright side Trump WH opened Press credential applications to podcasters & alt media helping corp collapse to accelerate & Jim Acosta can go rouge! *smirk*
Warren, as a recipient of Big Pharma's "contributions" seems unable to see the glaring conflict of interests. Ditto Sanders. These shills were supposed to be among the better people in Congress. And here's Warren again, attacking Gabbard - who's helping to expand her wealth this time? She seems stupid, willing cannon fodder for her corrupt generals.
The good
The bad
The ugly
Throw that stone at yourself first before tossing it Gabbard's way.

Lol to you and Katie H.

In a related fairytale, the NYTs ran an FBI CYA story over their placement of Gabbard on a terrorist watch list last summer.
