Baerbock pledging allegiance to the Ukrainian war effort regardless of how the German people feel perfectly reflects the state of modern western democracies. Representative government has been so thoroughly dismantled that they don't even care about appearances anymore.

Absolutely correct. There is no alternative, and open discussion and demcratic choice with regard to the NATO - Russia war cannot be allowed to take place. This is truly Orwellian and the vast majority of western society is complicit.

The Neocons "own" the United States as well as the rest of the western liberal democracies. The Neocons have achieved this ownership by the simplest of methods: they bought them.

They provide the campaign funding for politicians in the West. Then those politicians must do what the Neocons want if they expect to stay in power. Mission accomplished. The West owned by the Neocons.

Only one question remains, and it is the "forbidden" question:

Who exactly are the Neocons? Pepe Escobar edges closest to the "forbidden answer" when he refers to them as "Straussians”.

Good luck to you all.

Yes, what is Russia going to do about it?

The better question is what are Germans going to do about it? Will the German government follow Zelensky's lead and forcefully conscript civilians? Perhaps then Germans will finally rise up against their oppressors.

Germans are remarkably obedient.

On Friday, in a hearing before the Senate, Victoria Nuland more or less gloated about the destruction of the Nordstream pipeline. The European response was to stare at their shoes and pretend they heard nothing.

All kidding aside Gene, have you gotten your booster yet? The CDC recommends the bivalent booster for all healthy children, and your risk is much higher than that of healthy children. You do still trust the science, don't you?

As the US's proxy war against #Russia continues, it has to be recalled that the 2016 Russiagate propaganda campaign played a significant role in turning the American public's opinion against Russia.

By framing Russia as "a threat to democracy" the US lawmakers and officials played on the public's patriotic emotions and convinced them that they can either be patriotic or support Russia.

Russia was no longer called a matter of foreign policy, but something far bigger - a domestic threat to the American public.

Russia was no longer a threat to American superpower status but the general public of the US. This kind of narrative was pushed into the public discourse.

And today, we find ourselves at a position where the US empire is ramping up the games of nuclear chicken with the biggest nuclear power in the world and everybody, instead of opposing, is supporting this.

Because of propaganda that continued for years, the public is manipulated into supporting anything as long as it is framed as "tackling Russia."

I also have a Substack publication called THE GREAT AWAKENING, which you can check.

I just read an article in RT: “Nobody told me we’re at war – NATO state's president” and the comment by Croatian President Zoran Milanovic is priceless! “Commenting on the German foreign minister’s declaration that Europe is “fighting a war against Russia,” Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said on Thursday that this was news to him, and wished Berlin better luck than in WWII.”

good essay, Mr. Mate. But I would like to add my view that we are now into the third world war, not at the precipice. By now the whole world is just waiting for the predictable NATO response to "gimme fighter jets!" and "gimme long range missiles" and "gimme your soldiers." No, we mean yes. There is no more off ramp, just the tippy-top of that roller-coaster we are on in the Ukraine war that we ourselves concocted. (That's the Greek tragedy part.) Some brilliant novelist should be writing that great American novel that opens...."it was a glorious spring all along Florida's south Gulf coast, the sounds of playing kids at the elementary school across the way and the hum of some heavy construction machinery, because there was a real economy then, at that last moment of imagined sanity..." Most of the Garden is still under the illusion of peace, but it is fraying rapidly.

Composed by the ironically named great American songwriter, Irving Berlin:

Every night you hear her croon

A Russian lullaby

Just a plain and little tune

When baby starts to cry

Rock-a-bye, my baby

Somewhere there may be

A land that's free

For you and me

And a Russian lullaby

In the aftermath of this "conventional" WW3, there should be no place for people like George Soros and others pulling the strings and a lot of pressure through the US-EU Fourth Reich to provoke regime change worldwide.

One year later, instead of de-escalating the US-EU war against Russia it just keep it up and on.

One has to stay out of the bubble to think it through. Moldova being put in place to become a new front. Romania has historical hate towards Russia since they aligned themselves since always to march towards the East. Not enough, the most hateful person on 21th century came back to power, Netanyahu. A social-psychopath-war-criminal very handy to start a conflict on Middle East to diverge and scatter through the floor Russia's attention towards Syria and Iran. Meanwhile, the ones using proxies to make Russia exhausted and start making serious strategic mistakes, are just from afar watching and waiting for an opportunity to save the day.

I was about 9 years old when I was looking at one History book from my mom (she was a High School teacher)and I asked - "Mom!" She said - "Yes, son." Me - "Why these countries in Europe according your book are so poor in natural resources are exactly the ones holding control over the big ones rich in natural resources? It should be the opposite, right?" She said - "It is the way of the world, son. You will grow up and realize that there are many unsolved historical grudges among countries and people." Me - "So, this is how it will end up everything? This is what will be waiting for me?" Mom - "Sadly, yes."

I feel like I'm witnessing the creation of a new military state similar to isreal. The parallels are more and more similar, zero tolerance for any criticism of this new state, fealty to a single leader, no questions about who funds this new state. Do Ukrainian people really believe they'll have their country back? The American military machine will never leave, never. Ukraine will just be a shadow of itself, especially if this keeps escalating to the world war the leaders want so bad.
