Video: on pro-war propaganda in Ukraine and Syria
Some recent video segments on the proxy war in Ukraine and the dirty war in Syria.
I’ve just wrapped up two weeks of guest-hosting for the Jimmy Dore Show. In this post, I am sharing some segments that I think might be of interest to my audience, as they go in-depth on topics that I regularly cover:
Russia limits compliance with last nuclear treaty
After Russia limited New START compliance, NATO's Jens Stoltenberg claimed that Russia has previously "walked away from key arms control agreements" and has now "dismantled" the "whole arms control architecture."
He omitted 20+ years of US dismantling arms control — and the US and NATO’s rejection of Russia’s December 2021 proposal to address it. (I also wrote about it here).
How the US and Ukraine’s far-right sabotaged Zelensky’s peace mandate
As I wrote about in my latest Substack article, new details have emerged on how the US and Ukraine’s far-right “transformed” Zelensky from pro-peace candidate to “no peace” president.
Nuland: US backs Ukrainian attacks on Crimea
"U.S. Warms to Helping Ukraine Target Crimea," the New York Times recently reported, "even if such a move increases the risk of escalation" -- and even though majority of Crimea backs Russia.
Top US official Victoria Nuland now says that "we are supporting" Ukrainian attacks on Crimea.
Trump calls out “neocon” “warmongers” — just not his own
Donald Trump released a video calling out "neocon" US "warmongers" and appearing to acknowledge that the US was behind the 2014 Ukraine coup. A lot of what he said is accurate. But he omits his own role in the warmongering he now claims to oppose.
Media embellish Biden’s “brave” visit to Kiev
Cable news pundits fell over themselves to praise Biden's "daring" "risky" "audacious" "historic" "covert" trip to a "war zone" in Kiev. All of them omitted that the White House informed Russia ahead of Biden's trip to ensure his safety.
US accuses China of potentially arming Russia just as China offers peace plan
When did the Biden administration start “warning” China against arming Russia, all while presenting no evidence for its “warning” that China might do that?
Right after China said that it would unveil a peace plan for Ukraine.
Bombing of Nord Stream 2 advances longtime US goal
Antony Blinken described the bombing of the Nord Stream 2 as a “tremendous strategic opportunity.” That’s because the attack not only blew up an off-ramp to peace in Ukraine, but also advanced the longtime strategic US goal of severing ties between Russia and Germany.
Intel officials walk back their “Russian disinformation” laptop lie
The former US intelligence officials who pushed the lie that Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation” are now pretending they didn’t say that, all while throwing their media stenographers under the bus.
Congress to vote on US troop withdrawal from Syria
Rep. Matt Gaetz has introduced a measure calling for a full US troop withdrawal from Syria — the illegal military occupation that we’re not supposed to discuss.
In this segment, I address how the official US pretext for occupying Syria — fighting ISIS and helping Kurdish allies — is undermined by the overlooked admissions of top US officials.
US allies in Idlib refuse refuse earthquake aid from Syrian government
"Al Qaeda is on our side in Syria", Jake Sullivan wrote Hillary Clinton in 2012. With the US on its side, Al Qaeda led the coalition of sectarian death squad “rebels” that captured Idlib province in 2015. This prompted Brett McGurk, now a senior US official under Biden, to point out two years later that “Idlib Province is the largest Al Qaeda safe haven since 9/11.”
Now Al Qaeda, which controls Idlib under a different name, has refused earthquake aid from the Syrian government that it joined the US in trying to overthrow.
US sanctions worsen impact of Syria’s devastating earthquake
In 2019, current senior US official Dana Stroul bragged that most of Syria is "rubble" and that the US can "hold the line on preventing reconstruction."
Now that Syria has suffered a devastating earthquake — the US has temporarily eased some of its sanctions. But the overall policy of preventing Syria’s recovery — and punishing its civilian population — remains.
New York Times censors rare acknowledgment of US sanctions in Syria
In a rare acknowledgment of reality, the New York Times reported that earthquake-hit "Syria is not able to receive direct aid from many countries because of sanctions."
But that was apparently too much truth for the Paper of Record, which removed that line soon after.
Thanks, Aaron. It can't be easy being constantly attacked for sharing publicly available information that goes against the consensus warmongering, and yet you have such a great attitude and continue on in the face of it. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, Aaron, for this useful summary tool, highlighting the key points to share with those who may not be paying attention or only listen to the MSM propaganda.
