Piers Morgan appearance
On the Piers Morgan show, I debated former IDF spokesperson Jonathan Conricus about the latest in the Middle East. Some highlights:
Israel, Palestine, and denial
After long denying Palestinians the right to self-determination, Israel and its apologists now deny the civilian toll in their mass murder campaign in Gaza:
Israel, Palestine and the “peace process”
Palestinian leaders long ago agreed to a historic compromise: a state in the West Bank and Gaza, which is just 22% of Palestinians' stolen homeland. Israel, committed to supremacy, refused that Palestinian compromise. That's why Israel used the so-called "peace process" to expand its illegal settlements in the West Bank; enlisted the Palestinian Authority as a subcontractor for occupation; and has carried out mass murder in Gaza:
Is Iran the main “malign actor”?
Iran has previously endorsed the Arab Peace Initiative, which called for peace with Israel if it ends the occupation and allows for a Palestinian state in the West Bank in Gaza. For example, in 2017, Iran signed on to a measure calling for a "two-state solution with east Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine." A former Likud Foreign Minister has called this "the best idea that has ever been heard." But Israel, committed to stealing Palestinians' land and denying their right to self-determination, has refused to even discuss it. Which makes Iran, on this issue, more accommodating than Israel:
Syria, Al Qaeda, and chemical weapons allegations
In Syria, the US armed an insurgency that it knew was dominated by Al Qaeda, and that committed atrocities against civilians. Now that the former leader of Al Qaeda in Syria has taken power, fears of more carnage are well-founded.
And just as questioning claims of Iraq WMDs didn't make one "pro-Saddam", questioning Syria chemical weapons allegations doesn't make one "pro-Assad." As in Iraq, these allegations have been used to justify warfare and crippling sanctions against Syria. If we cared about chemical weapons allegations in Syria, we would listen to the OPCW whistleblowers who challenged a cover-up of their Douma investigation, and address the censorship of their findings.
The Douma cover-up is exposed in leaked OPCW documents that establishment media has ignored:
On the Assad chemical weapons fake news, I'm so pleased to see you discuss it the MSM never does.
I recognized the claim was false reading this report in 2013: https://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/syrian-rebels-used-sarin-gas-un-human-rights-investigator-46302
I’m guessing the question in your headline is rhetorical. You already know the answer.
