Sorry for the old cliche, "only the truth will set us free," Arron speaks it , precisely and eloquently.

Aaron is a bright light. He balances skepticism and hope -- there is no reason to expect much from the US government while there are reasons for hope in the outpouring of protest from the people, and especially from the young. The official voices are shameless; the voices on the street are loving and bold. I love the way Aaron refuses to take the interviewer's bait and embrace some "sensible" middle position.

The merciless onslaught against a people who simply want to live decent lives in the territories their people have lived in for hundreds of years is a disaster for them, but something their indomitable spirit will overcome. But as a smaller but important ramification, as a reflection of human proclivities it has caused serious debilitation, depression and demoralization among fair-minded people, everywhere. But they are protesting, even against their own complicit governments.

That and people like Aaron Mate, Max Blumenthal, George Galloway, and so many others are reasons to hope and celebrate.

What a wonderful Sunday for me. Two Mate's: Gabor with Cornel West and these amazing interviews. Thank you, Aaron. I am so heartened by your coming to prominence as such an articulate, clear thinker and journalist. We support you.

This ceasefire must be extended and made permanent. Not under oppressive conditions, but as a place where all live in peace and equality. It is time for Pope Francis to do more than talk. He must go to Gaza and make a stand for peace and freedom.

Please sign the petition and share widely.

This is one small thing we can do. If we can do more, let us do more.

Well said Aaron! Clear, concise, informative and honest commentary - that which is so sadly lacking in our mainstream media. I think it is absolutely correct to say that the only way the US, UK, EU and other like minded administrations will change their blind and unconditional support for Israel, will be through large scale protests by citizens of these countries demanding an end to this current massacre and the decades long oppression of the Palestinian people, both of which are being actively enabled by our so called leaders.

Absolutely incredible work, Aaron. Your answers never wavered from the message but you also answered the questions. Thanks for being a voice for so many of us.

Brilliant. Well done. The second guy really didn't like what you said about the States needing to get out of the way and stop funding Israel rather than the US being crucial to the peace process! He also said 'hostages' for Israelis and 'prisoners' (without charge) for Palestinians. The whole way we talk about this is skewed.

You're right; America can stop this in a heartbeat. It shows the control of the neocons and Biden's personal investment that this double think can be held in the media eye while the public eye has been opened to Israel's disgusting behaviour.

Hiya, i am very interested in these identity politics.

If someone says ‘I am Jewish’ are they saying that regardless of their skin, eyes and hair colouring and regardless of their religious beliefs and practices, that they are inherently different to other people who don't identify as Jewish?

If identity can cross boundaries of physical appearance, genitalia and chromosomes and women are being forced by law to accept men into their changing areas and sports, should anyone be allowed to say ‘i am Jewish’ and have to be accepted into groups of other people who identify as Jewish; where there are no physical nor genetic boundaries?
