We the people now must step up and serve the interests of humanity by making our own contributions to UNRWA. https://www.unrwausa.org/donate

Along with your donation, please make a strong statement that if our government won't, we will.

There really are no depths to which these governments will not stoop to in order to fulfill their fascistic dreams of total control. While we still can, let's make the best of the time we have!

There might be a problem with donations: "A UK bank locked its customer’s account – and subjected her to a security grilling – minutes after she made a donation to UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency that provides a lifeline to suffering Palestinians in Gaza."

That might be a one-off, or not, but as of now PayPal is paying, and if there is any danger of currency restrictions against UNRWA, as occurred with Wikileaks, I made my contribution as soon as I couldn and got my payment to Wikileaks through before any VISA shut down. So the best solution, I'd say is don't wait! Move fast!

Problem with contributions is: How do we know where the money is going? I am not naive enough to think it will go to the right place.

That could be said for any donation you make, but in this case I'm sure it go where it should. anera that I have been giving to for a very long time, many years helps the people in the Gaza strip and Palestine. "The largest American NGO operating in the West Bank and Gaza,[1] Anera works closely with local institutions, such as schools, universities, health facilities, cooperatives, municipalities, grassroots communities, and charitable associations to improve the community services they provide.[2] Anera is funded by individual donors and grants from public and private institutions.[3] Anera has received the highest rating (4 stars) by Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator of charities' fiscal management,[4] and meets all twenty of the Better Business Bureau standards for charity accountability.[5]"

ANERA is great and I have contributed to them as well as some others. UNRWA is the largest agency and now needs our help. They are specifically being targeted by Israel. Whatever you can do to help them, I hope you will.

I will, but I mentioned ANERA because someone said what if we can't trust UNRWA, just an alternative.

Shuttering UNRWA will simply make the inevitable Implosion of the UN all the more rapid:

The Empire of Lies (via these acts that Aid & Abet Genocide) have simply made it more Likely that Punitive Military Action is used by 'Israel's' neighbours against it in the Near Future:

'Israel' will Cease to exist completely; & the US has now made that outcome all but inevitable.

People must act. Silence is complicity. I know too many people who loudly condemn Israel and the US , but who do nothing. Writing and calling our representatives and the administration, inundating them with letters, writing to the AMA and other social institutions, writing to universities for free speech on campuses, writing against the International Holocaust Remembrance Association’s definition of antisemitism, attending actions, however futile it may feel, is crucial. It is not without possible repercussions but people in Europe risked their lives to save Jews from the holocaust in Germany. The honorable people who do speak out against the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the West Bank are threatened and do lose their positions in the current McCarthyist attack on free speech.

One way in which I intend to act is by not voting for any Democrat. I have written my senators, and my congressperson, Pramila Jayapal. And even though Jayapal has a position of supporting a ceasefire, I know from monitoring her Twitter account that she never publicly calls for a ceasefire. This from the head of the congressional Progressive Caucus. Some might argue that Democrats are a lesser evil than Republicans. But ask yourself, Is there an evil greater than genocide?

It is not fascism friends it is classic imperialism, something that Americans have practiced for several centuries, as we all know. Ask Crazy Horse. Ask the Seminoles. Ask the people of Puerto Rico.

I would argue that Settler Colonialism and Fascism are very closely linked. Lebensraum. A plank of the Nazi party was colonial expansion. And not the 'nice' Imperial kind of colonialism where you beat the natives in an unfair war, then set up a local elite to do your managing of the colony. Settler colonialism is genocidal in intent. Displace, kill, and replace the natives.

Sickening hypocrisy. To be fair, this is what we've come to expect from the Democrats across the board. Blinken's weasel words and hand-wringing would be hilarious if this wasn't so serious.

Trump was every bit as much an Israeli lapdog as President Potato Head. There’s no choice between them on this issue. What will stop this atrocity?

The US has never occupied the moral high ground in its imperial foreign policy, yet in supporting an outright genocide has descended to the fetid, decaying bottom of the moral swamp.

Thank you for this piece and for this very realistic sentence: "For White House officials anxious about their recognized complicity in genocide, what better distraction than changing the subject to an allegedly compromised United Nations agency which serves the very population that the US is helping to exterminate." Realism is what I'm looking for in good journalism

The false accusations against UNRWA are a flimsy diversion from US complicity in Israelis crimes against Palestinians which it not only accedes to but generously funds. In this it only adds to the crimes already committed, and fools no one of good faith, particularly the Global South.

I really appreciate that you include links in your articles, Aaron. They are very helpful to learn more about the situation. Somehow I was not surprised, when clicking on the link to Trump's ceasation of funding to UNRWA in 2018, that Nikki Haley was totally supportive of this action. Time for a third party!

So here we are. Where the monster calls those it is slaughtering monsters. And sides are taken. The US ual Suspects + Noto + how many other bug-eye Eyes say aye-aye, Sir. And harmonize their lies, in tune with the Big Lie that Refaat Alareer warned was a most serious problem in his last interview with UI. So they choose a side that would rule the world with genocide & lies. Hmm. In the big divvy-up? Final round-up & hoarding of global resources & divvil take the hindmost? To determine who gets to play with their toys the longest, if any? That about right? No thanks.

When asked if the recent drone attack which killed three American soldiers was definitly Iranian based, Biden asked what difference it makes. "The drone was built in Iran." If we strive for congruency, then, It matters not whether the US is complicit with Israal (and always has been). The weapons were built in the US.

I think you are right this is a sub case of imperialism, but it is different. But it’s interesting the Nazis as they conquered, Russia didn’t kill everybody they kept many alive to use us forced labor. Exterminating an entire subject population is an unprecedented move by a colonial power. But whites in the United States did come close, didn’t they?
