"“All of our missiles, the ammunition, the precision-guided bombs, all the airplanes and bombs, it’s all from the U.S.,” retired IDF Maj. General Yitzhak Brick recently explained. “The minute they turn off the tap, you can’t keep fighting.... "

American taxes purported to defend democracy & folks think Goebbels did propaganda best!

Is Biden still alive or are we watching Blinken covering for an 80yr old mentally challenged decrepit US President. I am truly discomfited that in this day and age we don't even know who is running this great Democracy. Every person in the DNC should be shoved in prison.

I just hope more sane Govts. in the World can make a difference and STOP this.

Netanyahu the butcher, Biden the zombie, and Blinken the undertaker, and the "endless chasm" deepens and darkens.

As always Aaron thanks for your great reporting!

The raising of the arm by the US representative at the UN last Friday, a lone act, a brazen act of indifference and distain to the thousands of women and children dying in Gaza, won't be lost on the people's of that region and indeed the world at large. The US under this administration is shattering its position as any form of broker or partner for peace, its announcing to the world that it plays by its own rules, it always did of course, but never in full view of a watching world.

i really don't get america's position on this. am i wrong to assume that both israel and usa will become increasingly isolated/ pariah states the day after? the difference with east timor is that it was not broadcast in such detail as social media has been able to do and there is clearly a sense of immediacy as the genocide unfolds. larry wilkerson says that he expects israel will no longer exist in 20 years (i assume as a zionist state). so what is the long term strategy in this? what is their expected outcome? i'm truly baffled.

Follow the money. Wealthy Jewish donors are barely behind the scene.

I say this as a permanently lapsed Jew.

I'm appalled about the longterm Israeli plan now seen by all, dictated by their wargod, and who haven't lived in Palestine or owned it in over 1000 years. I'm disgusted to be an American citizen. I'm disgusted about the whole American an European cabal.

We are tipping over a precipice from which there will be no return.

Thank you Aaron, writing the hard facts of genocide can not be easy. Chuck Schumer sent request for donations, my response, Stop the Genocide.

I feel that the majority of the world looked at the Hamas attack as horrendous (I do). What fails to be discussed is the occupation of the Palestinian state. There are two countries occupying territories... China and Israel and both are based on false claims.

Hamas attacks Israel and the United States wants to give Israel $41M in military support. That is roughly $41M greater than GNP of Gaza. So, instead of resolving a problem, it is exacerbating the situation while conflating the conditions which led to the illegal occupation.

China has assimilated Tibet into the Chinese political landscape but Israel is bombing Gaza into the landscape.

Trying to undo the sins of the nation state within the confines of the nation-state concept is likely to be unsuccessful. Part of what I want to do is to encourage more of us to think about new ways to think and act on this issue.

There must be a permanent ceasefire, not with Palestinians suffering under oppressive conditions, but as a place where all live with peace and equality. It is time for Pope Francis to do more than talk. He must go to Gaza and make a stand for peace and freedom.

Please sign the petition and share widely.

This is one small thing we can do. If we can do more, let us do more.

The US and most of the West has no credibility whatever on any any issue, none morally, and a minus quantity on Gaza and Palestine: whatever position they claim to take is diametrically opposite to the truth manifest by their actions. They don't give a damn, are living in another age strictly in their imagination when the US had power and influence in the world. But many do notice, have influence and economic power, and are unwilling to swallow more BS.

The ongoing genocide perpetrated by the current Israeli government is the defining moment of 2023. There is no clear exit strategy for Israel. Netanyahu's back is against the wall, personally and professionally as a butcher. He calls President Putin who tells him to stand down. Israel in its current form is finished as is the US. What a waste of so many children, women, men; Palestinian and Ukrainian.

There is well-organized, well-funded power, and ordinary people. The tricks the former are playing to convince us that things are not how we perceive them, and we are only harming ourselves by our intransigence (as in Eyes Wide Shut) don't seem to be working: there are more and larger protests against Israel's murderous policies in Gaza , no matter the threats and accusations of antisemitism. That is encouraging.

Perhaps if the Palestinians told Biden that "the Russians" are doing it? That just might get a different response.
