A Pulitzer-winning journalist documents the US media's extensive Trump-Russia deception.
In a new four-part series for the Columbia Journalism Review, veteran journalist Jeff Gerth documents US media's journalistic malpractice in covering Russiagate. Gerth joins me to discuss how establishment outlets got it so wrong, and how they now refuse to make it right.
Guest: Jeff Gerth, journalist who spent three decades as an investigative reporter at the New York Times, where he won the 1999 Pulitzer Prize. His new four-part series about US media’s Russiagate coverage in the “Columbia Journalism Review” is called “The press versus the president.”

Aaron Maté's new article on the NYT and Durham investigation:
Salute to Aaron Maté for keeping a close eye on the facts
No one talks about the admission by Crowdstrike representatives that they have no proof of Russian hacking the DNC emails. No one also talks about the 2017 findings by Ray McGovern and his NSA colleagues that the emails were downloaded within the DNC, not hacked from outside. I hope that you will be able to discuss this issue in your forthcoming book. I'd like to have the working title of your book and the Press so that I can refer to it in my own work (in French) dealing with the special military operation. In any case, keep up the good work, Aaron !
