Salute to Aaron Maté for keeping a close eye on the facts

No one talks about the admission by Crowdstrike representatives that they have no proof of Russian hacking the DNC emails. No one also talks about the 2017 findings by Ray McGovern and his NSA colleagues that the emails were downloaded within the DNC, not hacked from outside. I hope that you will be able to discuss this issue in your forthcoming book. I'd like to have the working title of your book and the Press so that I can refer to it in my own work (in French) dealing with the special military operation. In any case, keep up the good work, Aaron !

Just in case anyone is interested and would like to read further, this is Aaron's article on the topic:

Shawn Henry (Crowdstrike) beating a dead horse in his responses:

"We did not have concrete evidence that the data was exfiltrated [moved electronically] from the DNC, but we have indicators that it was exfiltrated."

"There are times when we can see data exfiltrated, and we can say conclusively. But in this case it appears it was set up to be exfiltrated, but we just don’t have the evidence that says it actually left."

"There’s not evidence that they were actually exfiltrated. There's circumstantial evidence but no evidence that they were actually exfiltrated."

"There is circumstantial evidence that that data was exfiltrated off the network. … We didn't have a sensor in place that saw data leave. We said that the data left based on the circumstantial evidence. That was the conclusion that we made."

It would've been nice if Crowdstrike can elaborate on the "circumstantial evidence", "indicators", the notion that "it appeared that it was set up to exfiltrated", and what evidence there is to indicate the Russia government was behind all of this.

But what does Business Insider think? *smirk*

Bill Binney, chief code writer for NSA, said they, NSA, watched the downloading of the data in real time. It was a fast a download, it could inly be done locally because the internet was slower than the download speed. He was interviewed by Jimmy Dore, I saw him say this.
