There are plenty of regional actors, State, non-State and illegal, who will readily supply them with the necessary weapons. Even if every single member of Hamas left Gaza, however improbable, new resistance fighters will take their place. Hamas and the other resistance factions are made up almost entirely of orphaned men, whose parents were murdered by the occupation. Yahya Sinwar, a notable example. Now, after two years of mass murder, a genocide, there is an innumerable number of orphans with hate in their hearts and a grudge to settle.
The US are walking into a small version of Vietnam. Only this time it’s not farmers taking up arms against them and WINNING, it’s men & women hardened by two years of hell.
It’s not ideal, obviously, but Russia and China can only watch while it happens, then - hopefully - pick up the pieces along with the overwhelming majority of mankind and step in to help the Palestinians.

This UN Security Council Resolution seems to ignore or invalidate all previous UN Resolutions and International Court of Justice rulings, that defined Palestinian territory to be what it was as of before the start of the June 1967 war. Israel was required to return to that line by both the UN Resolutions and the International Court rulings. Furthermore, it appears that if the Palestine Authority wants to participate in Gaza, they will be required to "reform", and give up their litigation at the International Court.
